All living things breath in air for respiration.

Plants use air for respiration and photosynthesis.

2. The main gases present in the atmosphere/air:

Gas Approximate % composition by volume
Nitrogen 78.0
Oxygen 21.0
Carbon(IV)oxide 0.03
Noble gases 1.0
Water vapour Vary from region
